By Brian Walks • Nov 21st, 2009 • Category: From the ParishThe 11th annual St. Mark’s outdoor Christmas display “Journey of Christmas” opens December 17, 2009 and runs through December 27, 2009. The display opens early on Christmas Eve and is closed Christmas Day.
The “Journey of Christmas” tells the story of the first Christmas in a unique outdoor setting. Set in the woods behind St. Mark’s, the Journey of Christmas takes visitors to 9 theatres featuring the shepards, angels, the 3 kings and Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus. Visitors experience the story of the first Christmas through colorful lights, a descriptive audio soundtrack, mannequins and more.
Come and bring your neighbours, friends and family to our spectacular Christmas presentation. All are welcome.
After your 20 minute journey, come inside for hot chocolate, cookies and entertainment.
Admission by donation.

Brian Walks is a longstanding member of St. Mark's Ocean Park. He has been on many parish councils and has served many times as a Synod delegate. Brian has also been a member of Diocesan Council (1990-94); Diocesan Communications Committee (1994-99 & Sept. 2008-current) and the SIA Ministry Committee (1999-2002). Since retiring in June, 2008 from Canada Post with 35 years service, he has become more involved with Camp Artaban and taken over as chairman of the Journey of Christmas Committee on an interim basis.
