St. Mark’s Prayer Chain
Consists of men and women who (in their own way place and time) pray for the physical, emotional and spiritual concerns of our parish and community. In response to requests received by members of the chain.
Parish Conferences
Held annually with theme speakers.
Cursillo Movement
A Christian weekend to heighten our Spiritual awareness of the Faith. Find more on the Cursillo Movement at www.cursillos.ca
St. Marks Community Outreach Ministry
The Front Room Community Outreach Ministry has been operating for more than fifteen years. It has grown, from teams making sandwiches in the Church kitchen and serving them at the Front Room, to twelve outreach programs. It has become St. Mark’s principal outreach charity.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Meets on the first Tuesday of each month, at 1:30PM in the family room, to knit, chat and pray over our shawls. Although originally made to strict specifications, prayer stoles now take the form of shawls, scarves and coverings, but are still crafted with dedication and prayer.
Newcomers are very welcome and we have a teacher if anyone needs a bit of help with the simple designs and patterns.
Contact the Church office to request more information or patterns from Stephanie and Mary.
St. Mark’s “Let’s Get Together” and “Senior’s Get Together”
These groups help bring parish members together for social activities including outings to the symphony, theatres and evensong, movies, outdoor walks, board games and card games, and other entertainments.
St. Mark’s Environmental Ministry
The goal of the St. Mark’s environmental ministry, formally established in 2009, is to honor the Creator by caring for creation. It helps parish members make the link between environmental issues and Christian faith, while responding in practical action in the church, in the lives of individuals, and in the local and global community.
