Journey of Christmas

It’s a “Journey of Christmas” display at 12953 20th Ave. in South Surrey, site of a 25-minute guided walk through Christmas displays set in the woods behind St. Mark’s Anglican Church. The “journey” tells the story of the first Christmas. It includes such familiar scenes as the shepherds, the three kings, angels and, of course, Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus.

After your “journey,” come into the church hall for hot chocolate, cookies and carol-singing. The event is family oriented and wheelchair and stroller accessible. In conjunction with Journey of Christmas, St. Mark’s also presents a great line-up of holiday concerts. This includes the St. Mark’s Choir performing a “Christmas Cantata” on Wednesday, Dec. 21st at 7:30PM.

Celebrating its 13th year, St. Mark’s 2011 “Journey Of Christmas” encompasses nine theatres with mannequins, a mural, props, theatre lighting and a CD audio soundtrack.
