Youth Group Summer Activities

St. Mark’s Youth Ministry, under the leadership of Lauren Smith, offers a great line-up of activities and events this summer. Join us for trips to Splash Down Water Slides, Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge, Castle Fun Park and the Rock the River concert. Plan on attending our Beach BBQ! Volunteer as a Leader for the St. Mark’s VBS! And wrap up the summer with a potluck at Lauren’s.

Just check for dates, times and costs (some are free, some are not), whether you need to bring a lunch, and when to let Lauren know that you’re coming.

Let’s Get Together: White Rock Playhouse, July 22nd

Save the date and sign up now for a lighthearted evening at the White Rock Playhouse, organized by St. Mark’s Let’s Get Together group. We’ll attend the comedy “No Sex Please, We’re British” on July 22nd at the White Rock Playhouse. The curtain goes up at 8:00PM.

Please let Sue Indridson know by SUNDAY, JULY 18th, if you’ll be attending so that she can book the tickets.

The National Post describes the play, produced by the Royal Canadian Theatre Company and directed by Ellie King, as follows:

The play takes theatre-goers on a roller coaster ride as they follow the desperate efforts of a young married couple and their nerdy bank friend to dispose of unwanted pornography… If you like British comedy, this show if for you, King said.

Despite the titilating title, the show is suitable for young adults, King assured. She’s a mom and said she would have no problem with kids 12 and up coming to see it. Young or old, it’s appropriate and will leave you in stitches, she added.
