Lenten Study: “The Jesus I never Knew” based on the award winning book by Philip Yancy. Thursdays 7:30 to 9:00pm starting February 25th at St Mark’s Parish Hall. Five Sessions with the Rev. Craig Tanksley leading the video study.
This will be a Journey that will Challenge and change you. A journey that will expand and very likely redefine your understanding of the of the person, teachings and life of Jesus Christ.
Yancy begins with a look at the Jesus he learned about in church in his childhood years. He then describes how his view of Jesus changes as he matures and as he has different experiences with Jesus and the people who claim to be Jesus’s followers. He concentrates mainly on the Sermon on the Mount, hoping to dispel some confusion found in Jesus’ teachings

St. Mark’s Men’s Club & Ladies Evening Guild invite you to attend the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 16th at 5:30 PM at St. Mark’s.

We’re serving delicious pancakes, ham and sausages, and fruit toppings. Tickets are $7.00, and kids eat free! Tickets at the door.

Shrove Tuesday is always held the Tuesday before Lent. Pancake Suppers are a Christian tradition spanning hundreds of years. Some places even hold Pancake Races!
