Protect Your Credit Card

If someone asks you to hand over your credit card to a courier service, it’s a scam.

Criminals may call pretending to be from your credit card company, your bank, or even the police. They often create a sense of urgency to pressure you into sharing your card, PIN, or personal information.

Scammers may claim you’re a victim of fraud and that your card needs to be replaced to prevent further issues. They might send a courier to collect your card, promising it will be returned once the “investigation” is complete, or that a replacement card is on the way.

Do not share sensitive information. Doing so can give criminals access to your account and lead to fraud.

If something feels off, it’s okay to refuse or ignore the request. Legitimate organizations will never pressure you to act immediately or surrender your card.

Talk to someone you trust if you’re unsure. You can also contact your bank or service provider directly to verify any request.
